In Sport Karate circles, this technique is often called the "X Block" or "Crossed Arm Block". In Kempo jitsu this fundemental movement can be performed upward, downward, or to either side and there are many and varied application.
As Charlie grabs my left wrist, I slip my right arm under his grabbing arm in an "X" movement and lock out his arm.
In this X Attack, I strike Charlie in two pressure point on his neck. The points are S-9 and LI-18.
After capturing the Roundhouse kick, I strike S-34 above the knee to drop Charlie.
